To, Steve Harakiri Dean Georgetown D.C. We have done a trend analysis and forecast of our level of enrolments in the MIS, ACC, and HRM. Based on the result, there is an observed decline in the students taking up MIS and ACC while there is an upward trend in HRM enrolments. In all the programs, it can also be noted that enrolments mount during the spring season as students perceive that it is the most conducive time for pursuing education. This can also be attributed to the tuition fee discounts given by the university during spring.

The significant drop in the number of students taking up MIS seems to be inconsistent with the higher demand for these skills in the market. Nationally, it was also noted that the total number of students taking up MIS courses steadily rises annually. The case of the declining number of students in our university can be linked to the more intense rivalry among universities offering MIS courses. Tougher competition is stimulated by the establishment of the Business University of Georgetown which is our largest competitor to date.

The university's state-of-the-art technology and high-quality education backed by professors from prestigious universities have significantly eaten up our market share in both MIS and ACC departments. It is therefore imperative that we battle head-on with this player. The university should also invest in facilities that will boost the performance of our students. More credible and prestigious professors should be hired. It is also recommended that we upgrade our curriculum to give room for more up-to-date subjects and learning activities.

An aggressive marketing effort to promote our university should also be considered. Attached herewith is the enrolment projection for 2006. To, Mr. Ridley ScotCEO, Scotware, Inc. Based on the analysis undertaken to determine forecast the sales and net income for the five-year period 2006-2009, I have found out that the company's main expense in manufacturing is labor cost. The huge proportion of total labor cost in total expenses is expected to mount from 2006-2009. In fact, according to my computations, direct labor expenses will grow by 65.

17% in the five-year period. Increases in direct labor costs have a negative implication on the net income of E-inc Company. This translates to huge operation costs which squeezes the level of profit that the company gains. It is therefore important that E-inc finds a way in cutting labor costs. I recommend that E-inc resorts to business process outsourcing as this is one of the most notable trends in the global industry due to its notable contribution to the efficiency of business operations. Business process outsourcing will cut the cost of labor to one-third thereby allowing the company to generate more income for its shareholders.

This will also allow the company to focus on improving its core competencies. I strongly believe that business process outsourcing will be the best solution to cut labor costs. This will also enable the company to gain more cost savings which can be channeled for the development of its product lines. Attached herewith is my quantitative analysis to support my recommendation.
