Honda Accord and Toyota Camry: An evaluation: The automobile industry in the United s and Europe has recently witnessed the emergence of a new rivalry in the form of Toyota Camry versus Honda Accord. Both these cars are vying for a larger market share in the same demographic segment. The rest of the essay is a comparative analysis between the two cars, including their fuel efficiency, safety/reliability and overall performance. There is no doubt that Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are some of the most popular cars in the United States.

To begin with, let us consider their pricing. While Honda Accord is priced upwards of $20,000, its rival Toyota Camry a trifle less expensive (around $18,000). For the potential buyers of these cars, this price difference should not be a consideration, provided they are satisfied with other features of the car. A clear advantage with the Camry range is that there are five different variant models on offer, with Hybrid varieties too made available to the customer, although this could cost an additional $5,000 on the basic model.

The Honda Accord on the other hand Honda Accords comes in just two models. Moving on to other features of the cars, the Toyota Camry models score more points for their superior aesthetics and visual appeal. For example, the Camry has a rounded exterior, with a clean, tidy look which would appeal to buyers from the professional classes. Honda Accord, in contrast, has elements of a sports car, with sleeker and pointed exteriors, suggesting that the car would appeal to young car enthusiasts rather than older, higher income demographic groups.

As for technical features, there are some similarities between the two cars. The Honda Accord Coupe has a 268-horsepower engine (V-6), takes lesser time to go from 0 to 60 and offers better fuel efficiency system, along with a lower center of gravity structure and “independent multi-link rear suspension”, which is supposed to provide greater control over the car. The Camry models too offer V-6 engines and greater car stability features, not by default but as additional options, which translates into more expenses for the customer.

Both cars offer deluxe and comfortable leather interiors. As for safety features such as airbags, seatbelts, etc, both cars are similar. In other words, the safety and performance features of both cars meet standard expectations. Hence, neither car is overall better than the other. The final choice of a customer will depend on his/her age, location (urban, rural, etc), income, marital status, etc. Young men, who are not yet married, will more likely go for the Honda Accord Coupe, for its design is more rugged and its exterior more flashy and comes with a bigger engine.

The Toyota Camry, by virtue of its more sophisticated design and a steady, subdued performance could be summed up as being more suitable for the urbane, middle-aged, professional customers. Hence, it is a matter of personal tastes, priorities and preferences, that will help decide the right car. But, both cars offer standard safety and reliability features and are reasonably priced.References:1. www.automobiles.honda.com/accord/2. www.toyota.com/camry/

Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Factors Influencing Toyota

Another important consideration that needs to be taken care of is the competitive prices in the economy for example if Honda Accord is priced between $18000-$20000 then the toyota camry needs to be priced in the similar range because they are very close competitors in the US market, if Honda Accord prices its product lower than the toyota camry then it is almost certainly going to be able to get a larger pie of the target market given that all other things are kept constant or ceteris paribus rule applies....
