Attending a is one of the most challenging tasks which one undertakes to complete so that a better future can carve out to live a better and more fulfilling life. However, to choose a university which suits your abilities and interest is something which one need to take care off before attending a university because this process of choosing the institution of higher education ultimately defines what you are going to become in your life. Since joining University of Maryland Collage Park, I felt that I have probably made a decision which was not suiting me personally.

The circumstances at that time were such that I had to decide to join University of Maryland Collage Park however as my studies progressed, I felt myself as socially alienated besides the fact that the environment was not intellectually stimulating and that my intended major i.e. International Relations, is not being offered at the University. I was born in South Africa and in Israel besides completing my schooling in the area of Manhattan, New York. This multicultural background shaped my life in such a way that I feel restricted in any environment which addresses to a particular area and does not focus on the universality of values.

Maryland, to me, is such a place which does not offer me an opportunity to grow as a person which I like to be. I therefore consider transferring to a university which offers many environments and opportunity to grow as a person besides achieving an academic distinction in my chosen field. New York is a place where UNO is working besides boasting a strong impression of a city with diverse culture and values. Since my intended major is of International Relations therefore NYU being in New York city would provide me a great opportunity to connect me again to a more budding and robust cultural environment.

I suffered ADD from my early age, and though it is more common now but for me its impact was much more serious and debilitating with stronger influence over the way I think and perceive myself. I often feel that, due to ADD, I am not that smart and that others would ultimately take a lead from me however, I never felt hopeless and shown perseverance to prove myself as a smart and capable student. I proved most of the people wrong who advised me not to attend the high school because I won’t succeed.

In a nutshell, transfer to NYU would provide me opportunity to get back to an environment which suits my personality and would help me to further stimulate my abilities and creativity to be a part of a team which offer one of the best education in International Relations. It would not only improve my career prospects but would also provide me a challenge to excel into one of the best universities in the world which throw you intellectual challenges to face in order to make a positive and constructive contribution to the humanity as a whole.
