Extract of sample "Organic and Inorganic Compounds"

It is assumed that organic compounds could only be extracted from living matter while inorganic from nonliving matter (Berger, 2000).Organic compounds are also defined as the compounds containing the carbon atom while inorganic compounds do not have carbon atoms or it can be said that they lack carbon atom (Berger, 2000). Organic compounds are also flammable while inorganic compounds are inflammable. Organic compounds have low boiling and melting points while inorganic compounds have high melting and boiling points.

Inorganic compounds, there is bonding between hydrogen and carbon while in inorganic compounds, no hydrogen and carbon bonding can be found out. As both types of compounds are different and are with different properties, therefore, they are studied under different branches of chemistry that are organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Both kinds of compounds are significant as we make use of both of them. This is explicitly true that organic compounds are attained from living sources such as plants and animals while inorganic compounds from non-living sources such as minerals, rocks, etc.

their origin and their properties make them different from one another.l
