Life into the Future It was the year of 3000. The apocalyptic destruction was brought onto the world, caused by the human race. A breed called the Sagons rose from this catastrophic consequence. This elite species of mutants survived below the surface of the earth for many centuries. The Sagons thought it was time for them to conquer the world on the surface, which they had been alienated from and had not had the opportunity to enjoy with its reconstruction. The Sagons, a mixed breed of different prehistoric animals and creatures that evolved on its own were an interesting mutant species and kindhearted. This life form became stronger and more superior to any other living breed beneath the surface of the blue planet. They are a sophisticated species possessing paranormal gifts. They did not succeed, however, in achieving improvements on scientific matters, since their resources were scarce. They sensed that something was missing that could improve their lives. They needed to become strong and fearless of what they would encounter on the surface, an unknown site to them. Eager to wonder into the unknown they set off into their voyage. They had old technologies that they managed to acquire from their ancestors from the 21st Century. They thought that the key elements to their science inquiries would be found in the old human beings´ technologies. They thought that if they worked on some of the technological paradigms that they had on file, they could reconstruct a better life for their species. They would be able to enjoy a surface they had no idea of what to expect. Everything would be new to them and perhaps they would find other survivors, other species, and other galaxies. They had difficulties working with the technology they found since it was outdated and they lacked the necessary tools to update it to function according to their needs. Due to the fact that they had lived underground for so long and were constantly experimenting, they were ingenious and found ways to adapt the technological devices according to their needs. The survivor idea was both a good feeling as well as a bad feeling. They would possibly find good natured species that would want the wellbeing of all but they could also find minds with destructive thoughts, such as the ones that brought them to what they had become. It was not an easy decision to make. They wanted to expand their knowledge, travel into the galaxy, and help endure life as they knew it. Fortunately, they had the reproductive means to continue for generations but they wanted to improve their species. They wanted to become that which they were in the 21st Century with major improvements. They thought that the only way to achieve their goal would be to find undamaged human DNA. It was their belief that this ‘clean DNA’ was the key, the missing link to improve their intelligence and their physical aspects. It would not be easy, due to the apocalypse. They thought that if only a few human beings would have survived, that would increase their possibilities to achieve their goals and objectives. The thought of being able to create life as they had known it in the traditional oral fashion and having the technology that they had with supporting evidence of their species´ life existence gave way to the idea of searching for new prospects. They had the desire, they had the ideas, and they had the old technology that adapted could be used for their endeavor. Given these facts they sent a few of the upper Sagons, with a few Veritatis, a life organism produced in masses by the Sagons to serve as slaves. Going against the odds, they discovered several remaining bodies, scattered across tunnels and underground mines, preserved from the heating fires and gasses that brought doom to the world. These corpses were not sufficient since the DNA strings were not usable. After searching for a long time, the investigators (Sagons and Veritatis) found a concrete underground complex, built by the humans to preserve their knowledge for their offspring in case something went wrong (and everything did go wrong). It was a good idea to have taken these measures. The power source behind this factory, creating energy by a solar system technology, was earth heated and in working conditions (who would have thought that these archaic precautions would have outlived the humans for centuries to come). A few famous scientists were found. Before the apocalypse took place, they were already dead but preserved in ice to maintain the human body structure and composition. Many of them were wining Nobel price recipients, specializing in science and mathematics. These individuals were geniuses. They were the Mecca of intelligence. It was great that they had been preserved for the future and it was great that the Sagons had found them. By gathering all of these frozen human beings, the investigators retreated to their home stations, packed with enough and sufficient information concerning the human DNA. They knew they could return in the event that they needed more samples so they drew up a map to reconstruct the path of return. Using leftovers, they spread around the surface of the world. They built a titanium city with highly secured complexes, surrounded by force shields to stabilize them. One of these complexes is a containment centre for the humans with laboratories to analyze and discover more about the human species. The Sagons wanted to experiment with the human DNA to learn more about their own kind. After six months of experimenting they wanted to utilize the energy and the power behind the human DNA. By studying, in time, they were able to reproduce and improve their own cognitive and physical capabilities. They worked twenty-four hours, seven days a week. They developed shifts to work as fast as they could to obtain what they needed and desired, which was to develop an improved human being. After enduring a year of investigative work and resources, the Sagons managed to fully understand the human physiology and cognitive benchmarks! They designed a cloning centre where they could multiply the human DNA and spread it around to other Sagons, securely selected. They did not want the Veritatis to have this detailed information so they were kept out of the process. One of the Sagons, called Prodigum Rex, took the very first sample of the human DNA that was produced in its purest form. The results were astonishing: a rapid growth transformed him into a superior life form. After his transformation he became the most intelligent, the strongest, and the most superior form of life. He was declared the leader of the Sagons, but an unexpected malfunction occurred when other Sagons tried to equip themselves with this DNA. It caused a disastrous overreaction to their brain, damaging their current cells. This gave way to mistrust the research process and formulation of a better race of human beings. They had to restore the confidence in the Sagons. They needed to maintain themselves calm and continue with their investigation. There could be no faults. There could be no margin of error. They needed to perfect their investigation so that if others needed to reproduce the experiments in the future, they would not fail as the intruders that tried to replicate it. The adventurous Sagon Bardus was injected with the DNA cells of the Scottish scientist John Friessman, a successful human neurologist. He experienced a change in his mental abilities and physical powers. Bardus took over the personality of the famous scientist itself! This new scientist became engaged in the intricacies of the experiments that were being performed and wanted to continue with the experiments. He solicited other Sagons to volunteer and assured them that with all of his cloned experiments there would be no danger. He did not want to worry them. He did not want them to become scared and not participate in the experimentation process. Since he was an ethical scientist, he really believed this to be true. He wanted the progress into the future versus having the incapability that their species were trying to overcome. His mind was in dismay. It was taking control of him. With these two contrasting personalities inside of him, Bardus went crazy, loosing total control. He became aggressive, screaming to himself why he could not control himself anymore. There was too much pain in his body and his head wanted to burst. Due to the pain running through his head, he gave up the experiments only for a while, just as the genius persons do. They never give up. Their inquisitive minds do not allow them to. He started listening to what Friessman, trapped in his mind, was saying to him. He started to understand the humans better, even respecting them. With the human DNA spreading gradually more and more through his blood he became more neutral and disconnected of his own personality. Rationale overcame insanity. He allowed Friessman to overcome him at moments. He was placed in a position where he was able to continue with his experiments. It was at this point that others became involved in his experiments. At any rate, they were like the human beings. They could die at any given point. They thought that they had nothing to lose since it was lost already, it seemed to them. If there was going to be an improvement in their wellbeing, they wanted to be part of it. The two powerful minds inside Bardus decided to collide and join forces to become one. It meant the beginning of a new breed that combined the human intelligence for science and the Sagons´ ability to increase their paranormal powers. Understanding the advantages of this fusion, he gradually hypnotized the rest of the Sagons to endure the same experience. Bardus commended them to listen to their human side and let it take its path into evolution. Due to this process, the new race, the so called human-Sagons´ race, evolved combining both intelligence and physical power. With this background, they gained almost a century forth of science history to their advantage, thanks to the human achievements. Through their mental strength they all pursued the ability to understand and manipulate time and started to see the world from a different perspective. With their strengthened minds and physical strength, the converted Sagons hypnotized the other Sagons to show them what they were experiencing and experimenting. With their knowledge to manipulate time, the first space craft was build to travel through time. The quest for knowledge had begun and seeking other species became one of its goals. The space craft opened the doors to the tremendous galaxy, seeing a world beyond their means, and envisioning communication with other aliens. They had been under the surface for so long that this was beyond their dreams. They set forth for the surface and they were now traveling in space and in time zones. This was quite an accomplishment. To think, that a DNA cell took them that far. To think that if they had not have had the curiosity to see what was on the surface, to escalate research techniques, and experiment with their kind, they would have lost this great opportunity of becoming part of the galaxies in their adventures. Given the dimensions of time and crossing over with the speed of light, they explored the many life forms outside; different than what they knew in the blue planet. The Sagons took off for a never ending journey, leaving the Veritatis on what was left of the third planet from the sun.
