Comparing Creation Myths” It is common question of every religion to know the existence of life and human beings, Greek and Egyptian religions are not untouched from this belief. They agree at one point to believe that God is the creator of the Earth. In Egyptian mythology of creation, Atum is considered to be the son of God and they firmly believe his existence all alone in the universe. He is known to be responsible for creating God of air and life, Shu; as his brother and Tefnut as the God of moisture and God of order, to keep everything in a perfect and balanced manner.

They believe that Gods created a creator God and this creator God figured an egg, which split to create a Lotus. Similar beliefs were perceived in Greek mythology which says that Gaia lived alone in the universe and gradually His siblings came in existence to signify other imperative elements of the Earth responsible for the existence of life on it. They believed that there is a God of nights called Erebos and also there is a God responsible for the underground happenings called Tartarus. It further state that in initial time there was total darkness in the Earth and only one bird with black wings called Nyx subsisted, who laid a golden egg.

Life originated when she incubated the egg for epochs, and emerged the God of love the Eros. Half of the shell became Uranus the sky and other half became the Gaia, the Earth. Life originated when they fell in love and had many children who became the Gods of various elements. Their son Zeus became the creator of men and animals. It is manifested that ancient Greek and Egyptian religions do share lots of similarities with differences only in terms of religions even though they have similarities in their pantheon of Gods and also in their rituals to please their Gods.
