It is only with adequate knowledge and modern education; one can expect to be flexible and adaptable with the changing scenario.
The area of the global south has been deprived of the education and knowledge for long. The people of those areas were never allowed to get access of the modern means of technology. Most of the areas of the global south were under the imperialist powers of the world for quite a long time. The ruling imperialist powers took control of the nations of the global south and most importantly the control of the factors of the production.
The influence of changing geography has considerable influence over the ways of production of knowledge. This is particularly true in case of the development of global south. Analyzing the past of the global south, it can be observed that most of the nations of the region were captivated by the imperialist countries of the world and the prime reason of doing so had been the lack of education and knowledge in those countries. The imperialist powers were mostly educated and could easily control the factors of production like land, labor and minerals and so therefore could make the natives and the indigenous citizen dependent upon them. Few of the important methods that helped the populace of the global south to know about the modern means were Marxism, positivism and structuralism.
Marxism primarily focuses upon equal opportunities and equal pay for all. Marxism calls for political and decision making power to the working class. As it was revealed from the discussion in the above paragraphs, the imperialist power that ruled in the global south controlled the means and the factors of production.
