Business Impacts: In case of old technology at General Electric Business is not having effective competitive edge on the other businesses.

In addition, the business of General Electric is still facing a lot of problems regarding the business management and corporate handling. Furthermore, the traditional business is not offering effective dealing and management of the internal and external business aspects like supplier management, client handling, contracts management, project handling, etc (Wikinvest, 2009).Technology Impacts: In case of old technology at General Electric Business the overall management and handling technological systems is not efficient and flexible.

In case of new technology platforms implementation at General Electric business will be able to carry out business activities more effectively. In addition, the new structure will offer rapid request management and fast order processing.

Additionally, in case of web based supply chain management the business will be able to offer the business a more convent supply chain management and order processing. Also, the customer will also be able to have a more quick order selection and rapid order tacking. Thus, this will enhance the business market value.
