Thus it’s only feasible to devise a system of metrics to measure the performance of e-business in conformance with these latest developments. This research paper highlights certain positive and negative correlations between and among endogenous and exogenous variables – e.g. price elasticity of demand for e-products (dependent variable) and the level of convenience of buying online (independent variable) – to delineate a paradigm of recent literature on the development and assessment of the significance of a new system of metrics to measure e-business performance. Above all this study has found out the existence of efficient metrics other than the conventional accounting ratios to measure performance of e-business. Thus it’s obvious that variances and co-variances built into a novel system of metrics would enhance the feasibility of evaluating e-business performance much more than the conventional techniques.
Electronic business is also known to utilize the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) so that it can assist all business related tasks easily. Commerce is described as one of fundamental activities within a business where not only exchange of goods and services occur between individuals, groups and also businesses, but also concentrates on utilizing ICT to other outside actions and builds strong associations between businesses. Electronic business techniques ensures that firms creates a strong and an effective association between their ‘Internal And External Data Processing System’ , to ensure that customers’ are content with the services offered and a strong communication is formed with suppliers and other associates. on the other hand, e-business have a more tactical approach as they have a more electronic aptitude because ecommerce is an important part of e-business approach.
