It is worth mentioning that all these three methodologies have their respective advantages and disadvantages too.
Apart from the positive side of the research method, there are certain limitations included in the correlation study. Correlation study can suggest the relationship between the two variables but at the same time on the same plane, it is unable to establish that a particular variable can cause a change in other variable too. The paper tells that a strong linear correlation between variables does not equate to causality. To maintain relevance, correlation coefficients should only be utilized on two quantitative variables. As the correlation between two variables approach non-linearity, the correlation coefficient becomes smaller and the sign changes from positive to negative until it reaches zero.
