One of the most important arguments stated in the paper declared that “a view that makes a man superior to a woman because he is physically ‘stronger’ lack the support of the Quran and authentic Sunna.”
Whatever constraints to the equality and rights of a woman in a Muslim society, wrote Osman springs from her obligation as a woman and as a wife in a partnership that results in marriage. In his view, the harmonious family and the welfare of children is paramount and women have to do their part to the point of sacrificing some freedom.
