It is different however because of its rigidity. It doesnt look true to the human bodys natural form. It appears tense and perfect. The abdomen is an example of how the statue takes on a perfectionist look. It is a complete oval. The body is free of hair and the hair on the head is perfectly groomed. This sculpture was given the name Kouros which eventually became a common word for the upright male statue.
The second statue appears to have been created from bronze. The eyes and mouth show a different colour so are more than likely made from another material. It is a more classic statue and was probably created after the Archaic period. It is less rigid and displays more fluid movement in the arms. Though the symmetry and the anatomy of the human body has been carefully studied and created in each statue there appears to be more detail in the second bronze
