Social entrepreneurs commit themselves to change the direction of the society and want to implement their vision practically for the betterment of the society.

Some of the core activities of a social entrepreneur include creating and sustaining social values, helping the individuals find solution to their problems, continuously pursuing learning and innovation, and taking bold steps to tackle major social issues even with limited resources. Social entrepreneurs can be defined by two elements, which include strategic focus on social impact and an innovative approach towards the mission (Nicholls).

Tackling with the issue of teenage pregnancies is a real example of social entrepreneurship. It is because teenage pregnancies is a critical social issue these days which needs to be handled by the people living in any particular society instead of relying on the government to take considerable steps. Teenage pregnancies bring a number of negative consequences for the whole society in the form of low interest in marriages, poor health of newborn children, and less educated mothers.
