Executive Summary: We have analyzed four online stores based in UK and have found ASOS store on top. The analysis is mainly based on four broad categories as follows: 1. First Impression Rating 2. Search results and relevance 3. Range of Products 4. Shopping basket Suggestions have been made to following stores about improving their rankings and profits. 1. Boden 2. Top Shop and 3. Next Introduction: We are analyzing following four stores: 1. Top Shop (www.topshop.com) 2. Boden (www.boden.co.uk) 3. ASOS (www.asos.com) 4. Next (www.next.co.uk) Top Shop (www.topshop.com) Website analysis and evaluation: Top shop is operating currently in UK and USA. It is providing deliveries all across UK and free deliveries are provided above £75. Further it is providing free UK Returns to Store or by Post. It is providing Clothing, shoes, accessories, makeup and gifts. This shop is providing a royalty card. Students gets 10% discount with a valid Student ID. Topshop is the only for women website. Observations and findings: Top Shop has wide ranges of products but the problem is that when you search the product does not turn up that much only few relevant products are shown which is not good and people may end up without shopping even when their product is available on this website. Top Shop only offers it owns brand and there is a need to include other brands as well as this can give them a good more market. Top Shop is lacking with the connections of social media and does not have an option to share its products. Top Shop does not highlight the products which are on discount. Customer should create an account for purchasing items. Recommendation: We would recommend for top shop that the website should work on increasing its search capabilities and more results should be displayed. Top Shop should try to increase its relationship with other products and should include more products in order to give a complete round to its customers and people do not end up without shopping from their site. Products should be highlighted when they are offered on discount so the consumer can get benefits of this. We recommend that there should be an option to purchase without registration in order to facilitate customers. 1. Boden: (www.boden.co.uk) Website analysis and evaluation: This website offers ranges for men, women and children. The Target market of this website is high class customers and so the prices are high as compared to other stores. Observations and findings: Boden prices are high so young adult customers are not attracted by this shop. Furniture is also expensive as compared to general market and other websites. Collection of Boden is not updated in accordance with seasonal requirements like in summer people require shorts but here there is very little stock. No option for getting things reserved in the future. Recommendation: Boden should consider to revise their prices in accordance with general market and if want to target high class society then the prices are ok but young adults will not come to their website for shopping which will result in loss of revenue. Boden should get their collection updated in accordance with seasons so more and more customers get attracted with their products. Reservation should also be made available to give extra benefits to the customers. 1. ASOS(www.asos.com) Website analysis and evaluation: ASOS provides varieties for men and women and provide free worldwide deliveries for all orders. It also provides 10% discount to NUS Students. It operates in UK, Germany, USA and France. One of the best options is the link of current fashion and trends with the Shop and people can browse through Fashion Finder to get their favorite items. ASOS offers a very great range of products – it doesnt only deal with ASOS brand clothes but also others such as Mango/River Island/TopShop Also the price range is very affordable; the aim of this website is to target young audiences who can afford it. also there are several discounts and special offer. ASOS is the only site that provides an option to reserve the items for future. Observations and findings: ASOS does not have any physical shop and is only an online store. This creates negative impact on the customers. Clothing is not ASOS own brand therefore prices are according to different brands therefore some prices could be more expensive than other site. No place to return the products you have to generate your own ticket to return to warehouse. Recommendation: ASOS should get its physical existence even at remote place this would create a sense of safety to the customers. ASOS should introduce its own brand and a price standardization should be made so people can get most out of the website and do not get out only due to high price as compared to other sites. 1. NEXT(www.next.co.uk) Website analysis and evaluation: Next offers a wide range of products which includes clothing, electrical items, flower and gifts, sports items and others. The prices of next are low as compared to Boden therefore people are encouraged to buy from website. Observations and findings: Delivery charges are not clear and the time it would take to make a particular delivery. Delivery charges are high so people would prefer to visit the shop and purchase from there. Recommendation: There is a need to remake the shopping cart and get the things like delivery charges and the time required to make the delivery clear. Delivery charges should be revised in order to make it easy for customer to shop from home.
