Core Values Core Values Core values refer to the natural aspects in people’s lives that enable them to realize their purpose on earth. These values have produced enormous changes in the way people interact with one another (Brown, 2004). Human beings need these values, in their lives, and their importance cannot be equated to anything. Such values include leadership, work, faith, prayer, loyalty, confidence and worship. This paper will discuss some of my personal core values, which have enabled me to be who I am today. Question 1 Leadership Leadership refers mainly to the process of social influence whereby one person can enlist the support and aid of others in the completion of a common task. According to Brown (2004), leadership is a core value because it inspires greater levels of teamwork, as there are certain things that others do not know how to do, but a leader can assist them. Leadership enables me to lead others in the correct path of life as I can influence others correctly. Work The term work has numerous meanings with regards to the field that uses the word such as physics. However, work, in the field of core values, is carrying out a task successfully (Brown, 2004). I consider working an extremely essential value as it is even quoted in the bible "man should not eat before they work". Therefore, people should work to get want they want in life as this applies to me. People around me do not see me as a lazy person as I like getting everything successfully completed. Faith Faith, on the other hand, refers to the things the belief in God and the things, which He has given up to bring hope in life (Brown, 2004). Everybody, in this world, has faith in something, but, for Christians, faith is to believe in their sole creator. It offers people perseverance, and; therefore, should be regarded as a core value. Faith has made me a patient person, in life, knowing that, even through the thickest of times, my future will still be okay. Prayer Prayer refers to an invocation, which seeks to arouse a rapport between people and God. Prayers, to God, are done in plentiful ways, but the essence of the act is to bring people closer to their creator (Brown, 2004). Prayers, just like faith, teach people to be patient, and know the right ways of asking for things. Prayers have enabled me to grow closer to my creator. Knowing the essence of praying, I have been able to encourage a lot of people to pray when they are facing challenging times. They return to me, in the future to say that God has answered their prayers. Loyalty Loyalty refers to the devotion or faithfulness, which a person portrays to others or country among other factors (Brown, 2004). Loyalty is a core values because being loyal to others is what keeps up going. For instance, people are expected to be loyal to their parents in order for them to live longer. Therefore, loyalty also comes with rewards. Loyalty has enabled me to be loyal to my parents, teachers and the people who are concerned in my life. Confidence Confidence is mainly the state of being sure either that a prediction or hypothesis is accurate. Confidence is also the skills of coming up with an effective course (Brown, 2004). Confident people run everything all round the world. Confidence is God-given, and this means that the people who use their confidence, correctly, is a value to them. Through confidence, I have achieved a lot in life. I can relate to a lot of people because of this. Question 2 One thing is certain: God created me for a purpose. Before someone even gets to the point of knowing which way they should go, it is imperative to realize that we did not emerge for nothing. God has an eternal plan, and God wants each one of us to be part of that plan. He created the world and humanity as part of His eternal plan. He sent me on earth to fulfill his mission of spreading love to people. The six core values mentioned above help me develop my life purpose because, through them, I can spread love efficiently to others. These core values, leadership, work, faith, prayer, loyalty, confidence and worship, support who I totally want to be. I lead others because I love them. Through leadership, I can assist people in what they find challenging. According to Brown (2004), a prominent leader is a person who loves the people who he or she leads. I work hard, on the other hand, to make life easier for others. I do this because u care about others. I also encourage them to work because, before God, laziness is a sin. Faith and prayer also enables me to pray for the people I love and hope that one day God will relieve them of their hurdles. Finally, confidence allows me to relate with diverse people, and this assists me in spreading my life purpose to them. The above values are the values that I want to guide my life. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned, in the past, and one I would like to share with people is concerning core values. Core values are foundations that people use in forming the pillars from which they will grow. My core values have enabled me to mature to the person I am today. Brown (2004) believes that any positive core values that a person portrays are the tools that drive the person to his or her success in the future. I am certain that if I use these core values accurately, then I will fulfill my life purpose before my life comes to an end. People need to be guided to do the correct thing, and this is where leadership comes in (Brown, 2004). Finally, some of the other core values, which I could incorporate in my life in order to spread the spirit of love efficiently, are evangelism, grace, mercy, humility and friends. Such values enable people to live together in harmony, and this spreads live, as well. I would always preach to people the importance of love and portray humility to others. According to Brown (2004), in order to spread love, a person has to humane to others. I would also seek to create more friends to will seek to spread the purpose with me.   Reference Brown, T.
