He was in favor of tolerance because tolerance is the first rule provided by nature and tolerance is supposed to be a natural state. The second reason he has provided in the favor of tolerance is that all human beings make mistakes as they ought to make mistakes and in order to gain forgiveness for mistakes, one should learn to tolerate the mistakes of others and then only others will tolerate their mistakes and miss behavior. He was of the idea that if individuals do not tolerate each other and do not accept each other’s view point they will turn into monsters as they will start killing each other.

For example, intolerance against the hijab worn by Muslim women has led to atrocious behavior against Muslim women. He was of the idea that individuals are irrational and do not measure the strengths and weaknesses of their ideas and thus act in an intolerant manner which can lead to disturbing effects for society.
