A Perpetual Winner of All Schools’ Tournament There are total 11 members in our team excluding the coach. From our joining the team, to every match we play, we are supposed to learn skills and deliver our best for our team. We work in a very friendly and competitive environment. Our goal is to achieve the win for our school every year. We strive to make it happen. As a team, we have many good or odd situations. According Every year, our school team, Sharjah Wanderers has been a perpetual winner of all schools’ tournament. According to my point of view, the task achieving and effectiveness of every member is as follows: 1. Aziz Shah: My name is Aziz Shah. I am very passionate about the soccer. I have watched the soccer game since my childhood and always wanted to join the soccer team. When I joined my high school team, I decided to take this game seriously and tried my best to achieve the success for my school. As an active member of the team, I communicate with the other members and share my ideas and strategies with other members. In our practice matches, I cooperate with my team members to learn the skills effectively. In out sports period, my coach told us to be an effective team and all the members of the team must have to put mutual teamwork. Being an efficient team member, I know that I rely on the team so, I endeavor to make my team a successful team. We play every day after school hours, during that time, I try my best to deliver the perfect performance. I learn, better skills from other members as I don’t feel ashamed to appreciate the qualities of others. This is how a team must work, admiring the best practice from the other member does not make our value down. Because his performance will help the team to achieve the goal. 2. Lukas D’soza: Lukas is one of the best members of our team. He has an advantage of his height and strikes the match winning goals. He loves to play soccer and is seen most of the time playing it. As a team member, he is very attentive in learning every skill that our coach tells us. He joined the team recently, but has made a strong position in the team. He has played 3 tournaments and always performed well. He has the potential to reach the highest international level soccer. Our coach hopes that Lukas will be able to reach that level with a little more effort. I have never seen him down and lazy. He is always active and ready to play the game. In our spare time, me and Lukas spend some time together. I want to learn some skills from him as he is the best player of our team in my eyes. His attitude towards his teammates is so friendly and caring. He loves to help others in learning what he already knows. During our training sessions for the final matches, Lukas becomes very passionate. He delivers his superlative performance. His best quality is that he believes in collective teamwork. According to him we should work collectively keeping aside our individual interests. His behavior towards achieving the goal is so optimistic and positive. He has a problem solving attitude and is found solving matters that arose between the members. Not only he works hard, but also motivates his fellow team members to achieve the goal. This is why he is an effective member of our team. His firm belief in the success makes him the most task oriented member of our soccer team. 3. Deepak Chopra: Deepak is one of those confused members of our team who do not believe in their potential. Negative prediction of the future makes him a weaker member of our team. This is why he could never give a better performance. He likes to remain alone most of the time. He does not communicate with his fellow members. The coach has told him several times that he has the potential to bring out the best out of him, but his lack of confidence always makes him do something wrong. His general health and fitness is always a question mark and the main obstacle in his way to an effective member and task orientation. There is no doubt that physical ability of a player plays a key role in determining the match performance. He rarely shot a good goal and his ability to complete passes is also low. He has never succeeded in achieving the target goals in our training and practice matches. He as no tactical ability to play the soccer. There are the times when he plays well out of the blue, but soon after that he becomes puzzled again. Sometimes his wrong decisions and wrong time efforts to shoot a goal proved expensive fro the team. He needs to increase his speed. For this reason he runs all around the soccer field early morning. The coach hopes that till the tournament practice matches he will be able to gain enough speed. Me and other team members also motivate and encourage him to have belief in his abilities and try to put his best performance. He has a desire to show what abilities, he holds, but he lacks effectiveness. 4. Shoaib bin Nasir: He is the oldest member of our team. He is experienced, but plays as an average player. He never showed better performance not in the training sessions neither in final tournaments. He is a jolly person. And probably it is his non serious attitude that he could never reach at the better position in the team. He is not task oriented at all and never showed any goal specific passion in his performance. The coach has warned him many times, but there is no development in his performance. His communication with other members does not bring any change or progress in his performance. But it is true that poor performance by an individual can affect the overall performance of the team. To remain stable in our consistent winning position, he has to change his attitude. Despite the motivation by the coach and other team members he keeps on delivering poor performance in the field. The coach wants him to take part in the deliberate, purposeful practice intending to improve performance like other members of the team. His contribution to team success is less than the low level. He is not committed to the task of achieving the success for the school. He needs to improve his learning skills and without leaving his non serious attitude and behavior, he cannot prove himself a better player in the team. All he needs to do is to pay attention to learning the skills with passion. There is a lack of competence in his performance. It is better known by every team member that if we want to win, we need to cooperate with each other and have to put collective efforts in order to achieve the success for our team. 5. Ali Hassan khan: Ali is among the favorite players of our coach. It is because he has performed very well in the past. He is very active and puts his best in his performance. His fitness is adorable because he has learned all the resistance as well as aerobics training. His speed is awesome and he knows some very effective ways to shoot a goal with no difficulty. But the biggest flaw he has is his attitude towards other team members. He is quite egocentric and does not like to talk to his fellow members. He rarely communicates with them, rather he does not want anybody to come into attention when he is there in the field. His attitude has proved to be harmful to the team because during the training and practice sessions, he deliberately did not show his performance just because the coach was motivating and encouraging other students. He knowingly struck some very nonsense goals and showed very poor performance. In training sessions he used to order us according to his will when the coach was late. This attitude shows his individual interest of ruling over the weaker members rather than achieving the task. He is not task oriented neither he is interested in gaining success for his team. He mostly spends his time criticizing others. His behavior with other team members is bad. To achieve a better performance mode it is not appreciated to keep such behavior. Discouraging others will harm the overall team performance leading to lose the matches. Self oriented people are usually not task oriented. And this is crucial for the team as a whole. Ali has to change his behavior to become a star member of the team. 6. Brian Russel: From a weak and puzzled shy guy, Brian Russel groomed into a powerful and brilliant player of our team. He is passionate and enthusiastic. I have seen him motivating other team members. If I want to convey a wonderful story of success, I would definitely tell the story of Brian. How he managed to get out of that low confident and shy attitude, and gained the top position among the best members of our team. His great ability to learn from others gained him what his worth is. He polished himself with the motivation and guidelines of the coach. He had some psychological issues in the past regarding bullying by some high school boys when he was in 5th class. Despite coping with these issues he himself has grown into a passionate soccer player. He preferred to adopt a positive insight and started playing soccer as a school team member. Since then, he has become very zealous to gain success for his team. He encourages his fellow members also. He not only communicate verbally, but also connects with them via social media and provide them some home made videos in order to tell them some basic skills. His efforts to achieve the goal set by the coach is always up to the mark. He loves to play it with skill and attribution. Sometimes our coach set some goals for every member to check the effectiveness, speed and skills of the players, almost every player strives to achieve the goal. Then the results are collected after completion of the given goals by every member of the team. Brian always succeeded in achieving the position in top three members. He does not keep his skills to himself. After the school hours he shows his favorite skills to his fellow members. 7. Ahmad Haqani: Ahmad is one of the weakest players of the team. He mostly complains about his fatigue that he feels soon after the training session and this fatigue is probably the root cause of his poor performance. He is thin and seems to have poor nutrient diet. The coach has told him many times to take a healthy diet and some supplements. He comes from a poor family and this feeling of being poor makes him feel down among his fellow members. He has lost his self confidence due to the fact that he cannot do something worthwhile. He keeps quite most of the time and does not ask questions in order to learn something. His performance is consistently poor and below the level of an effective team member. His orientation in achieving the goal is not up to the mark. He does not seem to have any interest in winning the match rather he is always conscious about what other members say about him. This attitude is against the rules of the game as well as a team ethics, because team members are supposed to play for their team and success with heart and soul. There is no place for individual interests, but collective advantages for the team must be secured by its members. The coach has decided to call his parents and tell them the condition of their son as a team player. 8. Riyad bin Fahad: He is no doubt a good player and has contributed in many match winning situations. He is the biggest fan of David Beckham. He spends most of his time copying his style of playing soccer. He has a dream to be a star player like David Beckham. He believes in getting education about this game wherever it could be found. He sits with his fellow members and communicate as well as share different new ideas that comes to his mind. He appreciates to work together, and strive together to achieve success for the team. The most effective strategy that he uses is honesty. He does his job as a team member honestly and stick to his ambition of achieving the best for his team. He tells us that he has set a goal to become David Beckham one day and he will try hard to achieve the goal. For this purpose he joined the school soccer team and started practicing as a young soccer player. He will learn the basics of the soccer here and will do his best to gain a win for his school team then he will join the international team on the merit. His positivity and enthusiastic approach is currently proving to be fruitful for our school team. 9. Lazzaraus komen: To gain the success, a competitive environment is a key factor. Without competition there will be no passion, no interest in achieving the success for one’s team. Lack of competition in and outside the team creates a boring, monotonous atmosphere in which players do not feel passion and desire to win the game. Lazzaraus is a player who competes with other good players and learned every skill with aspiration and passion. He keeps himself in competition with every competitive player in the team, including Lukas and Brian and delivers the best performance. The Coach is pleased as healthy competition is the true essence of every game. He has great communication skills and sometimes have good and constructive chat with other teammates in spare time. The coach knows his potentials and in some situations he relies on him. As an effective member of the team he is among the most task oriented players in the team. He has positive imminent and plays his role with sincerity and passion. Ariz Alriyas: He is a true weakness of our team. He never showed any kind of interest or passion in playing soccer. He just plays in practice time and go back home. He has the lowest speed among all the team members. He has been a drug addicted in the past, but after spending few months in a rehab center he quit using drugs. But he still feels weak and fatigue sometimes. Though he is taking many healthy nutrients to let the drugs out of his system. But he still feels urge for those drugs and probably this is the main reason for his lack of interest in the game. The coach is working hard to bring him back into the game and motivate him to start up from now. His fellow members also support him to play well. We hope that he will soon play the game with full interest and passion. Read More
