ment of Purpose Success in life is determined by a number of factors. In addition to talent and the capa to work for long hours, interest inthe chosen field of study, plays a crucial role. This is indispensable for emerging successful in one’s career. Subsequent to completing my Bachelors in Industrial design at the Islamic Art University in [city], I decided to pursue my unswerving goals by undertaking the M.S. program in Design for Interaction. I was born in [city], Iran, in a well-educated Persian family that had always believed in hard work and courage in the face of adversity.

I took the Nemune Dolati junior high school examination at the tender age of 11 years. At the age of 11 and 14 years, I obtained the first rank among all the primary and junior high school students in the painting competition of the province. I had always been keenly interested in industrial design, and this developed into a passion by the time I reached high school. Accordingly, I selected mathematics and physics at high school, in order to obtain a firm grounding in the fundamentals of industrial design.

In the nationwide entrance examination of state universities, I stood 1,058 out of the 150,000 total participants. This enabled me to gain admission to the Islamic Art University of [city], which constitutes one of the most prestigious art universities of Iran. The extensive nature of the syllabus of the undergraduate studies undertaken by me at the Islamic Art University of [city], served to provide me with a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of industrial design. In addition, I obtained a strong conceptual understanding of these core areas.

During the course of my undergraduate studies, I attended a number of workshops. Some of these had involved working with wood, metal, and plastics. To my great fortune, the Islamic University of [city] has been blessed with state of the art workshops. Moreover, these workshops have been supervised by highly skilled and experienced professors. This exposure rendered me conversant with the rudiments of craftwork and design. Due to my keenness to learn, I completed most of the projects stipulated by my professors.

This raised my esteem with them, and they rewarded my perseverance by making me a teaching assistant for the Creativity course. This course had been prescribed for the students of the Industrial Design Department, and was for a duration of four semesters. During my last semester of study, I commenced to assist the Leather Design group in my university, as it was my intention to set up a leather design group. My great interest in the interactive approach, caused me to select my thesis as Designing Toys for Hospitalized Children.

This necessitated a very high level of interaction. It is my burning ambition to resume my career as a member of the academic community. My experience as a teaching assistant has provided me with considerable insight into the nuances and challenges envisaged in industrial design. This has motivated me tremendously to undertake the study of industrial design at the postgraduate level. I have always been meticulous in arriving at a logical and beneficial balance between my personal and academic life.

Thus, during the leisure hours, I engage in badminton, swimming, Pilates, and listening to music. These activities have enabled me to relax. Moreover, I am rejuvenated by engaging in these activities, with the result that I possess unbounded energy to undertake my various tasks. My academic background, and professional and research experience make me eminently suited to undertaking the M.S. Design for Interaction program at METU University. As such, I possess considerable persistence, which emerges stronger in the face of adversity.

This will certainly ensure success in my future studies. The METU University has been proclaimed as one of the major centers for learning industrial design. The faculty of this globally renowned university, leave no stone unturned in their endeavor to make their students experts in industrial design. My experiences with learning, till the completion of my graduation, have demonstrated the necessity of studying in a well-designed course under the able guidance of experienced, dedicated, and skilled teachers.

The same experience, magnified manifold, is provided by the M.S. Design for Interaction course at METU University. I would consider it my great fortune, upon being selected to this exemplary program at this hallowed university.
