Personal Construct PsychologyI do exhibit a stable set of constructs in most cases about people that I am familiar with or those whom we have good relations. However, in some cases, the constructs do vary widely. This depends on the persons under judgment and past experiences with them. During the judgment process, it is natural to engage stereotypes. For example, in comparison male and females, there are attributes the two genders can possess independently. Therefore, I have to use different constructs in coming up with the suitable descriptions that they identify with.

However, the constructs are in most cases fair, though not all times. They are complete and thus allow making of assessments that are viable about others. I did not provide a judgment about myself that serves to favour me more than others. I use my intellect in the identification of the traits under which to make good judgments about others. The constructs that I use bring a positive impression. Therefore, they affect how I communicate with others depending on different parameters. For instance, those who have esteem and possess likeable constructs provide a favourable ground for interaction as opposed to those with negative constructs.

Therefore, most likely, there will exist positive communication in such cases. In order to enable people to develop a rather rich and complex set of personal constructs, it is important to educate them on the same. Through education, one can advise them on how to culture good constructs though vices such as attitude for positive development. In addition, motivation is also important in encouraging the development of good personal constructs (Fransella, 2005). ReferencesFransella, F. (2005).
