Policemen of the World Outline Paper Outline Thesis International incidents Pre-Civil war and post-civil war America’s policing role Industrialization Reconstruction The major international incidences that took place around the world shaped the manner the current occurrences around the world would take place. Some of the incidences continue to date, and they are based on the past occurrences. Real-life international incidents The major international events that took place recently around the world include the war between Palestinians and Israelites. The summit on the environmental management addressed the major issues on climatic change. Another incident that took place included a change in the operations of international trade within the organization. There were many trade rules implemented that governed the manner trading activities were being undertaken around various borders between countries. Organizations such as World Trade Organizations were major bodies that oversaw the means the trading activities were being undertaken between countries around the world (Schultz, 2014). The international trade has given countries around the world to improve their economy. They get to earn foreign exchange thereby leading to an improvement in the economy for various countries around the world. The rules that the heads of the organization have come up with has given the heads of various countries the chance to get good trading locations and even undertake the trading activities smoothly. Part 2 Outline The United States introduced a foreign policy on the war that took place around the world. They sent military enforcement to countries like Afghanistan in order to quell the incidences of war that took place within the country. The policy was also aimed at training the Afghan soldiers to avert a rise in the level of terrorist activities within the country. In addition, the United States also keeps a close look at all that takes place in Yemeni. They sent their military intelligence to keep a close eye on all that what taking place within the country and later came up with a policy that safeguards the interests of all the Yemen citizens. The United States also used this chance to win the confidence of the citizens from the Arab countries and build good trade ties in the end (Dwyer, 2011). Three aspects of the United States history since 1865 that prompted the United States’ rise a superpower included monetary reasons, religious and good perspectives, and geopolitical reasons. To start with, American ministers accepted that it was their obligation to spread Christianity to the unseemly ranges of the world. Second, European countries were viably partitioning the asset rich territories of the world in the middle of them and were benefitting significantly from these districts (Dilanian & Cloud, 2012). The United States felt that it also could benefit from these acquisitions both monetarily and deliberately. Third, the approach of the modern age prompted the gathering of riches for some business pioneers in America. These businesspeople saw the capability of a further monetary extension by having entry to abroad markets and materials. Three worldwide occurrences from the previous five years that could be followed back to an outside arrangement made after the Civil War are Vietnam, Somalia, and Iraq. The Vietnam War started in 1955 and was battled between comrade North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The administration of North Vietnam and its associates known as the Viet Cong were upheld by the Russian government while South Vietnam's essential partner was the United States (Schultz, 2014). In 1991, the President of Somalia Mohamed Siad Barre was toppled, and this prompted the start of a common war. Amid this time, different civilian armies vied for control of the nation. This denoted a time of exceptional roughness and battling which inevitably obliged both United Nations Peacekeeping powers and United States military association. The Iraqi war of 2003 began after Iraq guaranteed to have weapons of mass demolition. Under the fascism of Saddam Hussein, a few sections of the Iraqi populace flourished while others were undermined with viciousness, tormented, and murdered. Under Saddam Hussein's administration, Iraq created concoction weapons that were utilized against its adversaries and even it individuals (Dilanian & Cloud, 2012). America took the policing role in a number of international incidents that took place after the world war such as the use of missiles at Korea. They decided to put pressure on South Korea and asserted the rules that related to arms rule. The United States came up with policies that ensure there was a decline in the use of missiles within the firm. Their involvement also saw a decline in the number in the number of military tests around the world (Dwyer, 2011). The United States was also involved in policing activities by introducing a trade embargo on Cuba for going against their trade agreement. The embargo exists to date, and it has negatively affected the Cuban economy since it mainly depended on the United States as a major trade partner. The United States under the tenure of Ronald Reagan made it hard for them to grow their country economically (Dwyer, 2011). This was also a move adopted by the United States to avoid the incidences of the country engaging in trade with a country that the United States did not get along. The United States was also present in Iraq where they were seeking to reduce the instances of terrorist attacks around the world (Dilanian & Cloud, 2012). They considered it a world problem and ensured they put more effort towards eradicating it by first of all hoisting the country’s president, Saddam Hussein. The United States also came up with policies that guided the Iranians and did away with the terrorists that were present within the country. The major driving forces that fuelled such policy decisions undertaken by the United States include insecurity, terrorism, the quest for retaining their position as a superpower and averting the occurrence of another world war. The civil war projected America as a superpower in its capacity by being capable of winning the war. Their military intelligence could not be matched, and this gave them a place in their maneuver on the battlefield. Reconstruction failed since it was not easy bringing together the North and Southern inhabitants (Schultz, 2014). The strained economy could not make it possible to integrate freedom within the economy of the Americans and thus a decline in reconstructing the southern part. Industrialization after the civil war led to the development of urban centers and a rise in the level of technology thereby leading to a boost in the growth of America’s economy. The formal policies introduced by the government were effective in ensuring the development of America as a whole. Thus, Americans improved their industrialization plans further within the country. Enlightening the society was also key in meeting the desired goal of urbanization within the society and thus an improvement in the way the Americans perceived all the plans within the country. The major events witnessed after the civil war in American history are industrialization, creation of the southern states and the introduction of rail transport. References Dilanian, K., & Cloud, D.
