Executive Summary The primary reason for writing this business plan is to convince our prospective clients to utilize the operational management services offered by the company. The company plans to provide information technology services to companies to improve the marketing strategies adopted. The company is concerned with formulating ways to improve productivity through effective marketing strategies. The first part of the business plan is the company description. The business plan contains an in-depth analysis of the company to explain that it is a reliable information technology company. The products and services provided by the company are also outlined in the business plan. This section describes the benefits of the services offered by the company to its clients. The business plan is concluded by an overview of the operations and management functions of the company. The business plan does not include an appendix, market analysis, or financial analysis. However, the service description and operations and management segment provides all the relevant information about the company and the set objectives. Contents Company Description 3 Service Description 4 Simulation Models 4 Search Engine Optimization 5 Internal Controls 5 Advertisements 6 Operations and Management 6 Management Method 7 Customer Service 7 Company Description Techmark is a limited liability corporation that focuses on providing operational management services in relation to marketing. It was founded mid of 2014 after all its directors decided to venture into business by improving marketing strategies. The company was formed as a combination of marketing theory and computer sciences and information technology expertise. The directors expect business to commence on the first day of the year 2015. There have been no revenues recorded since incorporation. However, the company forecasts to record a 5% growth in consumer base by the end of its fiscal year. Currently, there are five employees in the company. In addition, the employees are all directors of the company with a comprehensive computer science and information systems background. Service Description Techmark Limited will offer marketing services to all companies. Economic analysts explain that marketing ought to be a primary product for all companies. In addition, the demand for information about products surpasses the supply from companies. The primary service of the company will be to provide a marketing platform for companies across all economic sectors. The marketing strategies employed are established alongside an information technology platform. For example, all marketing services provided will entail online information sharing. Consumer behavior towards marketing has been influenced by technological advancement. Most consumers search for product information online rather than going to the specific company. The number of consumers searching for information online has risen from the previous decade by 65%. Harmonizing information technology with marketing strategies will benefit the prospective clients by improving productivity and broadening the consumer base. Marketing services will employ the following methods; Establishing simulation models, Search engine optimization, Internal controls, and Advertisements. Simulation Models Effective marketing services commence with simulation models. The company will be responsible for establishing simulation models that mimic the actual marketing processes. The models will predict the trends in sales and indicate any flaws in the marketing process. Such flaws will be identified and corrected before the actual marketing process is implemented. It is without a doubt that prospective consumers will benefit from incorporating simulation models to the marketing processes. For example, a model that mimics the actual advertisement will help the company to establish whether it will be appealing to the prospective consumers, and the potential feedback, in terms of sales. Search Engine Optimization In the recent past, only a few companies shared their information online. Most companies had all their information written on pamphlets. The modern day customer behavior requires that company information is available online. Techmark limited will create website profiles for other companies to ensure that it is available through the internet. The search engine optimization is the best possible marketing platform because the companies will have an online profile. The companies will diversify its marketing strategies by having an online profile. Most consumers prefer searching for products online to visiting shopping malls. For example, it would be easier to market a new company over the website by creating an online profile in addition to having an official public launch. Companies that will utilize our search engine optimization services will generate a large consumer base by ensuring that the companies are available on all platforms. Internal Controls The company will be responsible for formulating internal controls to ensure that the marketing strategies adopted comply with the available information technology systems. The result of the marketing services provided to client companies will be assessed in relation to the client companies’ performance. In addition, internal controls will harmonize all the companies’ operations from production to marketing to sales. Companies will have an account of the marketing services provided and its effects on productivity. Advertisements It should be noted that some companies appreciate outsourcing marketing functions to external companies. Techmark Limited will offer advertisement platforms for client companies. The company will focus on advertising the companies’ products over the internet. Advertising services will follow simulation models and search engine optimization. The company’s primary source of revenue will be from advertisements. This will involve advertising on social media sites and the website profile. In addition, the company will incorporate information technology systems to advertising procedures to ensure that the advertisements appeal to the consumers. Techmark will ensure that effective internal control measures are formulated to assess the success of the advertisements in relation to business performance for the respective client company. Operations and Management Business operations will be centered on creating consumer satisfaction. Techmark Limited will have a single location but will be accessible online. The company has five employees who are also directors of the company. However, the number of staff will be increased by 200% in the next fiscal year after a significant growth has been realized. Currently, the management of the company is a collective responsibility for the five directors. The directors are responsible for overseeing the company’s operations to ensure that the set objectives are achieved. Business operation will be contracts based. The company will enter into contracts with client companies. Techmark Limited will offer marketing services for the client companies, and receive revenue as the consideration for the offer. The management acknowledges that every company needs to adopt effective marketing strategies to boost productivity. The services will not be discriminatory to a particular sector. The company will strive to provide marketing services to all companies willing to adopt sophisticated marketing strategies. Management Method Management will take the form of laissez-faire management style. Every employee will be required to complete their duties as they see fit. For example, all the operations and management will be the collective duty for every director. In addition, the directors have equal shareholding within the company. It is important that the employees be given the freedom to work in the best way possible that suits their schedules. The roles of management will be planning, coordinating, and controlling the business operations. It will be the sole responsibility of every director to convince companies to adopt information and technology systems to their marketing strategies. Customer Service Customer service will be the secondary focus for the company. The management acknowledges that growth is realized when customers are satisfied with the services that the company renders. It is imperative to adopt clear-cut customer relations to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. In addition, marketing services provided to client companies will focus on improving the corporate-customer relations. For example, search engine optimization will ensure that customers obtain all the relevant information about a company. Customers will have the assurance that online profiles improve customer service, rather than having to visit the physical location in search of service. Reference Guffey, M.E. (2011).
