The ornamental piece strapped around the waist is extremely sensuous, which gives the jacket an outstanding look. This specific piece demonstrates the industrious mind of Saint Laurent that awards it an incomparable distinction from the rest. The designer uses some aspects of historical reference to earlier designers besides a bit of originality to make it a masterpiece to yearn for.

A similar approach was quite evident when I explored the exhibition. I could notice how varied designers have utilized diverse creative approaches in arousing their viewers’ curiosity evident in the way was always attempted to stand and admire pieces that I passed. However, in the case of Saint Laurent, this icon was extremely experimental due to his love for colors. This was evident from his displays, which brought out his curious nature. Halston’s approach however was very different as he tried to think differently and produced pieces that were original though extremely stylish in their way.

The borrowing of classical aspects of these icons' designs made their respective works outstanding for a very long time. This was evident when Saint Laurent used a classical masterpiece dress from Paris that brought out his art while Halston made his representation by integrating various previous works and making them his interpretation. Therefore, their works were always improvements of the classical pieces incorporated with some touch of modernity that made them admirable across generations. Correspondingly, the designers employed a menswear theme creating a breathtaking cloth line for men that significantly supplemented their works. They created brands that uniquely identified them and strengthened their dominion even more.

The arrangement of the pieces created a spark of enthusiasm that was undeniably astounding. Every sense of their appearance represented the whole concept of what fashion is all about. The appurtenances incorporated in their organization and display were eye-catching from a distance that left the audience engrossed in them. Both designs were remarkably comparable and their context seemed to represent the same kind of group.

The showcasing of these two designers was quite distinct from other exhibitions that I had experienced. This was the first time a display of two competing designers was done correspondingly and their analogousness was demonstrated. Most of the exhibitions always tried to illustrate the works of various competing designers together, to select the best, which was not the case with this particular exhibition. Additionally, this was a showcase of classical pieces, which was different from other exhibitions that displayed trending fashions in the market. Read More
