Socialism: The importance of Marxist ideas as a method of societal analysis in explaining the Cold War shall be reviewed (09:49).

Liberalism: Locke’s liberal ideas shall be examined about the Cold War and how liberalism remains relevant today (09:49).

Democracy: The foundation of democracy in the universal principles of justice as promoted by Machiavelli will be reviewed (09:49).

Consensus politics: To critique whether the end of the Cold War and for that matter end of communism in Eastern Europe represented a real sense of consensus politics where the people wanted to debate their voices on the choice of the political idea they preferred (22:20).

Anarchism: To critique the existence of anarchism or whether it is now dead as politics is today seen as the relation between the elite and the people (03:48).

Communism: Cox references the end of communism in Eastern Europe in the 19080s (22:20).

Socialism: Debate of Gorbachev’s idea that socialism is essentially about the competition (22:20).

Liberalism: To critique whether the relation between leaders and masses being experienced in Room 1 as a defining moment in modern politics can be said to be born out of liberalism (03:48).

Accountability in politics: To determine whether the kind of accountability Nixon wanted when he referred to better relations between the governments of the US and russia still lives today (09:39).

Authority in politics with an emphasis on the Machiavellian perspective on Power, Virtù, and Fortune (Machiavelli, 2005; 09:49).

The possible impact of globalization on changing global political ideology (Simon, 2002).

Communism and globalization: Investigate the extent to which the global struggle for power between the West and the Soviet Union is today living and relevant to the battle against communism as a political idea (08:11).

Liberal politics and globalization: To examine whether liberal politics now accommodates religious and other identity claims well enough in a more globalized world (03:48).

Due to the versatility of political ideas, it remains impossible to draw an outright conclusion on whether the six ways apply or do not apply in the world of politics. The best outcomes are however drawn when there are specific instances of political ideologies and practical examples being used.
