Concert report for a piano

Since the concert had been advertised some days before, a large number of audiences had turned up. Esther Parker was a well known soloist who had performed with orchestras in both the Asia and the United States of America. She has had the passion for the piano since she was four years old and after moving to the United States of America she began attending piano lessons which later became her foundation in musical arts. She graduated from Yale University with a master’s degree. Tickets could be purchased online before the concert. Most of the people in the audience were students and professors from other departments who had a passion for music. The room was well set for the event and flashy lights had been put in place to add a lovely finish to the whole thing. Additionally, one of the school’s bands broke the ice by entertaining the audience. The room was at full capacity by eight in the evening and those who came late did not find a place to seat. The performance was breath taking especially in places where Parker changed the pitches and speed of play. After the first thirty minutes of her performance, the audience was really moved and we were given a fifteen minutes break to review on her performance. She was full of energy and if given the chance, could continue without a break. ...

The Mariinsky Orchestra Concert Report
Mariinsky Orchestra I had done beforehand personal investigations on Mariinsky Orchestra. The Symphony orchestra is arguably the oldest Russian performing Orchestra. Valery Gergiev, the leader, and performance conductor has been instrumental in making Mariinsky a success (Thomas 1). The theatre was well prepared and certainly customized for this particular performance. Arrangement of the hall, lighting, stage sound system, decorations and curtains were all-perfect for the performance. The overall performance was astounding. Contrary to the modern music, concerts performed by young contemporary…

One such composition is Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 2 that contains four movements. Anton made the original composition in 1872 even though there are variations of the original composition (Corrs 4). On October 17, I attended the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande’s performance of Anton’s Symphony No. 2 at Geneva’s Victoria Hall. It was exciting to attend a concert conducted by Marek Janowski, who is regarded as one of the greatest symphony conductors. The team of about fifty players appeared splendid in their dressing with men wearing black tuxedos and white shirts while the women wore…

Esber Recital Hall is a famous hall that provided superior sound quality and actually made the piano played by the performing group sound nice and complete whilst New Horizon Brass Ensemble played their piano. There were several performances during this particular night, which included Salve Venere, Salve Marte by John Stevens; sonatas such as Allegro Leggero, Aria ,and Allegro Moderato; there were also French sets, which included Apre un Reve by Gabriel, Improvisation by Francis, and Nuit d’Etoiles by Claude; and dances such as spooky, insouciant, impudent/ponderous, bluesy, con ritmo…

World Voice Day Lecture & Recital: Concert Report.
There were various interesting bits in the concert presentation that would not have gone unnoticed that I observed out of the concert. The concert was governed by a program, which, in my view, presented the event as become the most interesting. It was a sort of presentation like that of a church. It featured ten musicians, who teamed to make their presentations one-after-another. One of the first pieces of presentation was by David Keck who did presentation of Per pieta, bell'idol mio by Vincenzo Bellini (1801-1835). This was a lovely tenor presentation. The next interesting presentation was…

Manahan is also the recipient of the ‘Ditson Conductor’ Award in 2012. Another noteworthy thing about Manahan is that he has excellent leadership qualities which help him to have a good rapport with the orchestra, emoting with them and bringing out the best in their performances. He was also honored by American Society of Composers and Publishers (ASCAP) four times for his contribution to the field of music. …

Yundi Li's piano concert
The paper tells that Yundi has a very fantastic interpretation and recreation of the Scherzi. This may be the first time that the ‘chopin humour’ is heard in any of these pieces. Yundi is also keen on giving the much needed emphasis to the left-hand, where one only wonders, isn’t it just amazing that someone can actually play in this way? Then in comes the Liszt Sonata. The Liszt Sonata is among the best recordings ever. Yundi gives it justice with his amazing skill and passion. It is now evident that Yundi is not just any other virtuoso. Yundi is impressed by the amazing and shattering…

This is the simple fact that allows music to define more than a single type of sound, but rather influence entire generations and lifestyles. I had the privilege of attending two concerts, one a symphony music concert at the American university in Washington DC, which was a classical music concert. The other being a concert of eccentric performances in a place by the name of Jamming & Apos,: Java in Vienna. Both of the genres of music were new to me but I had an open mind to the experiences. To deeply understand and enjoy music, we must learn to appreciate other genres as well, since music is…
