In the storyline of A Chorus Line movie, as the multitude of dancers narrows, several of the dancers begin to share their life experiences with the audience and the choreographer. The viewers hear their sad tales of rejection, their failures during previous auditions and their development over time in the area of dancing (A Chorus Line).
From the short clip that was watched, the first lines of the song, One singular sensation / Every little step she takes. After that line, they went on to perform more dances and up to their last performance on the 28th of April, 1990 on Broadway at the Shubert Theater in New York, they had performed more than six thousand times (6, 000).
