Astor Piazzolla has essentially infused a rhythmic pattern of 3+3+2 which tends to give a new dimension to the milonga rhythm. Milonga de Angel is one of the most popular songs of Astor Piazzolla which attracted an immense American following. It was a tango performance. Instruments used for the music of this song included accordion, guitar, and piano. It was one of the slowest pieces of tango music that I have heard in my life. Although the instrument was played with perfection, the overall feel that it lent to me was boring. It was a slothful song and the overall effect was lost in the excessive use of instruments.

The performers perfectly did their job. The performers were so well prepared for this song that it felt as if they had been practicing it for years. It is not quite easy to perform such a slow song live on stage, but the perfection with which they presented it provided evidence of their practice and hard work. One of the instruments that seemed particularly difficult to play was the accordion, but the performers were too well prepared to make any errors. While performing, the performers did not communicate with the audience and were rather totally focused on the music, which was one factor that made this concert different and special from the conventional concerts in which the performers engage with the audience from time to time to keep their interest and zeal elevated. Despite that, the audience never seemed to lose interest which speaks of the quality of the performance.

The audience enjoyed the performance a lot. Frequently in between the songs, some people randomly would be overcome with emotions and start dancing among the audience, which although was an insignia of the mesmerizing effect the song had cast on them, yet made me feel a little uncomfortable as I found the song too slow to energize somebody to the level that he/she started dancing particularly when the song being sung was Milonga de Angel. By the time the concert was over, literally, all people gave a standing ovation to the performers and clapped.
