Bach and Mozart's Double Concerto - Essay Example

Hungarian composed Ligeti selections by the name Ligeti Gyorgy Sandor, he was a legendary composer who specialized in contemporary classical music (Saarinen & Claude 56). Etudes for a piano book I & II were composed during the second half of the twentieth century; as a result, he was regarded as one of the most important composers by then. Etudes for a piano book I & II belong to the piano concerto genre and this piece in particular fits the style period. This is because; he blended virtuoso technical abilities with expressive contents, therefore resulting in a superb piece of work that stood up during that period (Steinitz & Richard 136). In addition, the uniqueness of the piece led to its adoption as a guide in studying piano during the vast period of the twentieth century.

In conclusion, the concert was very exciting; the performers blended the ancient experience with modern civilization to come up with a masterpiece that left the audience wondering in amazement.
