Introduction

There has not been much reviewed on HPV over the last eight years and, with the vaccine currently in place, the availability of it should be made known on a much larger basis. The aim of this study is to explore the reasons behind why women either do not know about HPV or know very little, and to also review and analyse what restrictions women may have in getting the vaccine. This will be analysed by reviewing scholarly papers and in comparisons.
The method of research is through reviewing different research studies done over the last decade at about the time that the HPV vaccine was to come out on the market. The papers will be analysed side by side for any patterns, similar or not. A critical literature review is used as research methodology to explore the women’s knowledge and attitude about HPV and perceptions in receiving the vaccine. In some cases, the studies were done right before or at the time of the vaccine’s introduction into the marketplace.
It is important that nurses continue to educate themselves and this would also include doctors who may not have upgraded their skills over time in practice. ...

HPV and Oropharyngeal Cancer in Men
Seppa (2011) explains that though the virus was previously believed to infect women and not men, observations, in history, have indicated high rates of infection among men. This means that while the infection was previously ‘non-existent’ in men, or otherwise previously not detected in men, cases of viral infections have increasingly been reported among men to an extent that men are now…
