Pain treatment among SCD patients reflects not only the access and availability of health care but also prevailing practices and knowledge about the disease, its prognosis and pathology. This paper will determine the various methods employed in nursing interventions for the treatment, control, and reduction of pain among SCD patients in a Kendall Regional Hospital in-patient section from January 2009 to January 2010. It will also determine the immediate effect of employing such methods.
