From the above family genetic records, we can clearly see that genetic related disease have set roots in this family. There are three genetic defects prevailing in the family, though from the records, we can conclude that their extents are reducing as intermarriages continue among the family members. Intermarriages may either lead to severe conditions if accidentally the spouses are suffering from the same defects, or otherwise reduce its effect if one of the spouses is not carrying the genes.
Diabetes is the major defect running in their roots, as we can see from the research above, there are genes causing this defect in both sides; the paternal grandfather’s and grandmother’s health records shows that they are both carrying the gene, to an extent of it causing death to the grandfather. Because of this, their son ends up dying at an early age of 36. The son’s wife family is less affected compared to his family, but there are some records where the maternal grandmother had poor eye sight resulting from a diabetic attack and thus the wife has some of these genes but she is in a position to handle it. The subsequent intermarriages completely reduce the effect of this defective gene. Other genetic related defects detected in the family are: complications during delivery and asthma which is brought into this family by the spouse to adult participant’s sibling.
