Introduction

The study was conducted for six months in Netherlands and four other centers in United Kingdom. Two stages were used in the procedure of the experiment. The first stage involved machine inspection and device analysis while the second stage involved observations on the metabolic effects of the device to the patients. The satisfaction of the patients was then obtained through a questionnaire. Eighty patients took part in the study for six months and no common errors occurred in the use of the device. The patient satisfaction increased from the beginning until the end of the experiment. The study then concluded that accu chek combo system was efficient and comfortable for the users and the treatment improved in terms of glycemic control (Kerr et al., 2010). The study made is a mixed approach as the quantitative part was conducted when the frequency of hypoglycemic patients occurred in the study based on the qualitative survey which is the Diabetes Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire. The apparatus showed how it can bring comfort and support in the glucose level of diabetic patients.
