I consider myself as a creative, bold, confident, determinant and ambitious individual along with a presentable personality. I have sound nursing and interpersonal skills as I always perform my duty and task with full integrity and devotion. There are some domains in which I possess command and expertise. As my academic reports are illustrating my interest in the pious filed of Nursing, so I have decided to continue my dedication and devotion towards it. Personal Statement I have always been interested and intrigued in the endeavor involving working with children. There is something innately inspiring and rewarding from the learning mentor job I envisioned to continuously pursue. In one of the personal researches delved into, Ailsa Bunch of Morecambe High School defined learning mentoring as providing “support and guidance to pupils and those engaged with them, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve potential” (Bunch, 29).
It is no longer the role of a passive observer that a new trainee nurse performs; it is rather a very active and hectic schedule of day to day clinical ward flurry of activities. Time passes like speedboat, and in the ward, any newcomer such as me will feel like confused and at a loss about what to do and what not to do.
I was more excited as I was shifting my school. My previous school lasted till elementary school only. The Middle School was located on the outskirts of urban area of South Korea. Our family and other relatives have been living in Korea; I was born in same state.
Eventually, someone let slip that the true job of an archaeologist does not involve carrying a bullwhip, booby trapped cursed artifacts, or fighting Nazis. My curious young mind drew a blank. I no longer knew what to be. I no longer had a clear goal of what it was I did want to do.
The good thing about the scenario is that the patient was able to verbalize his complaints which can pave the way to a systematic assessment of the patient's condition. However, the not-so-good aspect of the scenario is that the patient's complaints are very common to some other eye conditions which might be difficult to distinguish among other disorders, thereby necessitating a closer look at his case.
I feel I have the necessary skills and determination to progress in nursing and eventually achieve my my ultimate goal of becoming a Health visitor.
