Evidence Base Health Care Theory Evidence Base Health Care Theory The evidence based health care theory has proven useful in the improvement of public population health. As seen in the research conducted by ONeall & Brownson (2005), through the evidence based health care theory, the public practitioners are able to adopt a comprehensive approach to developing programs that are useful in their practice. In addition, the evidence based care theory has enabled the practitioners evaluate the set programs from a scientific point of view.

ONeall & Brownson (2005) indicate that this involves applying the scientific way of reasoning and using relevant data and information to evaluate the programs and systems adopted in the healthcare profession. With this in perspective, the public is bound to benefit from programs set and evaluated credit to the evidence based healthcare theory. On yet another point of view, it is critical to note that the public health issues are getting more intricate by the day. In an attempt to deal with these upcoming issues, ONeall & Brownson (2005) are of the opinion that an evidence based approach would prove useful in developing policies and interventions that would solve the problems facing the healthcare sector.

The application of scientific approaches to the public healthcare practice has been strengthened with the evidence based care theory and practice (ONeall & Brownson, 2005; Stevens, 2013). It is valid to conclude that evidence based care theory has helped develop, execute and assess the public health policies in terms of intervention and effectiveness in the public health sector.
