The future of nursing has been articulated to focus mainly on knowledge coverage, quality of care and newer functions in the field. It is necessary that nurses embrace new competences levels in order to transform service delivery as they lead inter-professional groups in care delivery. The focus is therefore on knowledge utilization in clinical decisions and production of evidence of research on those interventions promoting the uptake of providers (Stevens, 2013). The aim of EBP is integrate recent knowledge in care decision making so to up processes of care delivery as well as patient results.
