The of Ethics requires members of the nursing profession, who bear the responsibility to comply with established standards, the duty to perform its role within an ethical and moral context that meets the highest requirements of society. Nurses should respect their patients and their dignity regardless of the health status of the patient or the social group he or she belongs to (Hanna & Suplee, 2012). Nurses should treat their patients with sympathy, so that they may feel safe and comfortable. Good attitude is very important as it helps patients recover.

In my opinion nurse is more than a profession, nurse is a calling. It is true that we must follow the Code of Ethics in our daily basis, but sometimes our heart make us go beyond the Code of Ethics in our patient care. I am a hospice nurse. One day one of my patients ask me for a beer; in my lunch time I went to the store, got one bottle of beer and gave it to my patient. Do you think I was right or wrong?
