The study “Nursing Theory as Framework for Research” seeks to identify the use of theoretical frameworks among articles published in the past five years from 2010. A theoretical framework impacts numerous aspects of the study. The conceptual framework engrosses ideas that are serially designed…
Extract of sample Nursing Theory as Framework for Research
An example of such studies that lack a theoretical framework is that of Bond et al. (2010) that involves a descriptive analysis of articles published a decade ago. Though the study itself seeks to identify the use of theoretical frameworks among articles published in the past five years from 2010, it lacks a theoretical framework to guide its research.
A theoretical framework impacts numerous aspects of the study. Simply because a theoretical framework guides a research by offering a reference basis for the observations, definition of ideas, research design, interpretations, a lack of it implies that the study lacks organization. Therefore, this study lacks organization. According to McEwen and Wills (2014), a theoretical framework guides the researcher in interpreting the study results. In this case, Bond et al. (2010) are not guided by any theory in their collection and interpretation of the data results. Additionally, this also implies that the researchers lack a connection with the existing knowledge. This study also lacks an explanation of existing theoretical assumptions as it does not respond to questions on “how” and “why” (McEwen & Wills, 2014). ...

The researcher states that that in order to enable the nurses to optimize on their skills, nurses should be made to undertake a range of courses related to the environment, since the environment in which an individual works fundamentally affects the individual’s ability to take the best out of him/herself.
In 1965, the American Nurses Association stated that theory development was one of the most significant goals for the profession. As a result, nursing theory became the framework for structuring many nurse training programmes, leading to the unwelcome possibility that theory would be synonymous with education rather than practice.
Although the presentation of need for supplemental oxygen, high respiratory rate, physical signs of labored breathings, and failure to achieve adequate oxygen saturations were evident, the cause of this was not clear in the clinical examination. There is evidence in literature that this problem may be solved through a nursing process approach where assessment of the patient, framing nursing diagnoses, care planning, care delivery, and evaluation of care may be done through a structured framework to accomplish the best results (Faucett, Ellis, Underwood, Naqvi, & Wilson, 2006).

Currently, nurse scholars are attempting to move beyond the safe confines of the randomized control trial as the gold standard of science. Unfortunately, the teaching and research of these forerunners are often discounted by their peers who feel compelled

Therefore, it is right to say that by their derivation and reasoning the nursing theories offer a constitution to support and define nursing practice, and the value of care offered to patients (De & Anderson 2008). Moreover, it
The Glaserian grounded theory is an inductive qualitative methodology that permits the researcher to identify the main problem of a group of persons and the behaviors they use to solve their main problem; thus, this theory applies to research. In this theory the main
