1. In example one, the paraphrasing is problematic because it appears to be a summary or of the entire article. There was no specific point, argument or evidence referenced in the context of idea presented in the paraphrase. Rather, this can qualify as an equivalent of the articles main thesis. One would have expected paraphrasing from a specific paragraph or sentence but this was not the case. It is difficult, therefore, to evaluate the accuracy since there was no specific reference. It is also confusing or even misleading because the paraphrase identified high student-to-professor evaluation as the main objective for the changes to instruction in colleges and universities.

In reading Lord’s article it was only cited as one of the reasons. The paraphrase, if it was about the overall argument of the Lords essay, should have cited the "student as consumer" business model as the reason for the changes to instruction instead of professor evaluation. Or, if the paraphrase was about professor evaluation, then the author could have used the idea from paragraphs 5 or 6. The first and second paragraphs also appear to be unconnected, indicating different thoughts.2. For example two, the in-text referencing was correct except for the publication year written at the end of the paraphrase.

Also, the reference listed has an error as well or has a missing information. The referenced entry, "The Third week: Writing in the Middle, was a chapter from a book. The book editor, therefore, should have been mentioned even when he was the author of the specific chapter cited.
