Quality Improvement project for diabetes self-management in adult African American women. To carry out a successful quality improvement project, four key factors have to be considered and this is the need for an analysis of the problem, a resolution to address the problem, development of an intervention, and a follow up process to ensure the problem is managed in the long term. Considering my capstone project will be on factors that influence diabetes self-management on adult African American women, my quality Improvement project would then be to identify and educate African American Women affected by diabetes on self-management.

This would involve collaborating with various organizations managing internal accountability measures for diabetes, in order to identify this women. After which, I will have to organize seminars/educational talks or webinars to educate them on best practices and how to manage the disease.
