From the perspective of holistic approach, it is well established that spiritual assessment is an action taken with the assumption that spiritual wishes have dedicated influences on all other factors of an individual’s life (Govier, 2000).
Spiritual assessment tools are techniques that are used by medical professionals to access the spiritual history which is a genre from the spiritual screen and a spiritual assessment. Through inventions and innovations, a number of spiritual assessment tools (which include CSI-MEMO, FICA, HOPE, FAITH, FACT and SPIRIT) have been set up to achieve this main objective. However, performance of the actual work using these tools have proved some of them to be cumbersome and quite involving that they cannot be appropriately used under all conditions. For instance FACT, as a tool, has been described as a hybrid spiritual assessment tool which is only suitable for use and meets the needs of professional chaplains in acute care settings.
