Introduction

Asthma has been implicated in overweight and physically inert young people. In their study, Daniel et al mention that in instances of reduced mobility, there is more prevalence of asthma. With asthma also, there is decreased physical activity which accentuates the condition. In another study by Ten Hacken (2009), physical inactivity and obesity have been compared so as to identify the correlation between the two. The researchers are guided by the principle that physical inactivity and obesity are risk factors for many chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, depression and diabetes mellitus. The researchers explain that in inactivity and obesity, there is systemic inflammation that leads to various inflammatory processes of many chronic conditions. Asthma is a chronic airway disease characterized by enhanced bronchial inflammation and hyperactivity, mucosal edema and airway narrowing. Asthma being a chronic condition, therefore, fits the bill of the inclusion criteria. Despite this argument, the study is not quite clear on asthma as it uses postulations and inferences. Even the researchers themselves admit that complex studies will be needed to clearly show the correlation between physical inactivity and asthma. ...

Research proosal on ASTHMA
The descriptive-quantitative research methodology will be adopted using the survey questionnaire as the primary data gathering instrument. Parent – respondents will be selected using purposive sampling and will involve a minimum of 200 respondents determined using post-hoc statistical power analysis. Both descriptive and inferential measures will be utilized in the statistical treatment of the…
Asthma Case Study
An asthma exacerbation can be caused by allergens (Sequeria & Steward, 2007). There are those who only have asthma attacks as a result of an allergic reaction. While it still remains unclear just what causes asthma in general, every individual varies as to what their asthma triggers are. Asthma a condition that results from three major processes, which are airway inflammation, intermittent airflow…

A schizophrenia patient is also not able to think with clarity, they have emotional instability problems and exhibit abnormal behaviours in social set ups. While incidence refers to rate of occurrence of a phenomenon, prevalence is the extent to which such an occurrence is spread. This paper seeks to discuss incidence and prevalence of Schizophrenia. The paper explores its demographics, its…

Identifying a Researchable Problem
During physical activity, the body uses more oxygen than when one is passive. Regular physical activity will therefore lead the body to adapt to providing more and more oxygen into the blood stream. Reports by various scholars point out to the fact that children with reduced mobility have been diagnosed with asthma more than their highly mobile counterparts (Daniels, 2006). This revelation,…
Children asthma
Children with acute exacerbation of asthma are frequently seen in out-patient settings and emergency rooms. They are administered bronchodilators like albuterol to cause relief of symptoms. Albuterol is administered either through metered dose inhalers-spacer or jet nebulizer. Metered dose-inhaler spacer is an efficient and useful method of delivering albuterol for bronchodilatation. It delivers…
