A sudden turn of events occurred when Perry is informed that his father sent an inquiry about him through the jail warden. Capote gives the murder case wide perspective including the law aspect. In the novel, readers get to know about the Clutter family, the family that suffers from the brutal murders. The family resides in Holcomb village where people lived as a community, trusting each other, and observing their religious obligations.
