The initial variables included in the model were average education level of population, median age, unemployment rate, income tax rate and coastal city and a dummy variable equal to identify cities with welfare. Additional variables for inclusion in the model are still being considered, for example, transfer payments. It is important to hypothesize the expected relationship between the independent variables and the income per person. The higher average education level of the population in a city should increase the level of welfare, since, education is known to have a salutary effect on the income of a person. For median age, one would expect the welfare to increase up to a certain point and then begin to decrease after a certain peak age. This certain age, perhaps, between the ages of 18-50, as suggested in the literature, but, it is difficult to determine the sign of the coefficient for median age. It is possible there is a non linear relationship between welfare and age, with income increasing with age up to a certain point and then beginning to decrease after a certain age. A higher unemployment rate should lead to decrease in income, based on theory. ...

Industrial diversity can be described as the variety of economic activities which result in a change in the economic structure. (Malizia, 2003) It has been stated that diversification often provides a form of employment insurance during cyclical economic down turns and therefore does benefit the economy and helps in raising the per capita income during recessionary times (Oded Izraeli, 2003).
Moreover, statistical analysis and study indicated that per capital income of a city is not directly influenced by the economic diversity experience by it. “Empirical evidence reveal that the economical diversity, which is present in coastal cities has a compelling influence on the per capital income of the states”(Khan,2008.pg.282)However to have a complete understanding of the relationship between per capital income and employment diversity, considerable improvement should be made on the data acquired.
During this research, data from 30 cities across US has been collected with through websites of Starbucks and other government bodies. Additionally, variables like population, total food expenditure, revenue, corporation tax and recycling mandatory of various cities are considered to analyze the expenditure accumulated on management on municipal solid waste .The performance of in -depth analysis and methodology showed that increase in population, corporate tax and recycling mandate can unquestionably increase the expenditure of management on Municipal Solid Waste of various cities.
