Business Intelligence Business intelligence forms the core basis of an organization where computer-based techniques are made use of to identify, extract and analyze in detail the business-related data. It is a broad category of technologies and applications which are the significant areas where achievement within business could be envisaged (Wang, 2008). Sales revenue through different products is estimated or even by varied departments in the organization. The key areas that make business intelligence to work include the technology, the people and processes, the corporate culture and the challenges and recommendations.

Technology helps develop the basis of business intelligence as its availability is the actual platform upon which business intelligence is based. What this suggests is the fact that the technological regimes would manifest a solid meaning and implication for the different processes to be completed within the business intelligence ranks. Whether or not technology comes out here as a significant tool is for the understanding of the people who are behind such an exercise. This is important because technological changes and amendments need to be incorporated within the business intelligence realms and without the incorporation of the same, there would not be any success for the sake of the business intelligence in the long run (Fuld, 1991).

A number of renowned technological giants like IBM, HP and Microsoft are devising business intelligence software and tools to tackle the business related issues within a globally changing organizational climate. The role of the people and the processes within business intelligence is such that they form the vital link through which work gets done. The business intelligence would not be termed as such if the people and their processes are not apt and in line with the changing requirements of the time.

They have to incorporate the role of the technology and therefore take care of the impending issues. The technology and challenges are significant because these ensure the smooth connection amongst the business intelligence realms which would ensure success at the end of the day. The corporate culture is such that it will mean a great deal for the business intelligence hubs. If the corporate culture is smooth and has no outstanding issues, it will mean that the processes are being handled in a proactive manner and that business intelligence is being taken care of appropriately.

This is quintessential because business intelligence relies a great deal on the initiatives and steps taken by the corporate management ranks within an organization (Bean, 2011). The culture that dictates the corporation basically signifies how success has been envisaged, and how this will mean long term achievement for the sake of the business in the long term scheme of things. The business intelligence is similarly relying on the challenges which crop up every now and then, and whether these challenges are faced with a stern approach depends a great deal on the recommendations made by the people who have been successful at implementing business intelligence domains and software of repute within their respective organizations (Snell, 2011).

This is significant because business intelligence is the basis within the related industry, and it would only be natural to think of it as such. Works Cited Bean, Hamilton.
