As previously mentioned, Aristotle also looked into the differences found between the three different social classes, pointing out how the larger middle class, as the mean, should be considered the ruling class. This, in a sense, showed that while Aristotle preferred democracy, he was also leaning towards something resembling an oligarchy or even an aristocracy. It could even be said that Aristotle was creating his own form of government. The richer class would not be willing to submit to authority, or government, and the poor class would never be taught how to be obedient, but the middle class was willing to do their part as citizens. The rich and poor classes varied greatly from each other, yet they also branched off into even wealthier or poorer groups. The middle class, on the other hand, was unable to be branched out, making it an equal class. With the middle class being the stabilized mean, it is believed that it would be best as the political community. The middle class, as large as it is, would prevent the other two classes from attempting to become dominant, which is thought to have been the goal of both the rich and poor classes. The forms of government that the rich and poor classes would create would be damaging to society, but the middle class would be able to keep it balanced and functioning properly. ...

Britain being a democratic country has a prolonged history of social welfare policies and strategies. The country has extensive social welfare policies to cater to the well being of its citizen and communities.
Democracy is a form of government that gives the people a voice. It is a representative form of government wherein the people are allowed to choose who will lead them. Democracy comes from two Greek words, “demos” which means the citizens in a Greek city-state, and “kratos” which means “power or rule” (Singleton, 1).
The greatest thinker avoids ambiguity and bias, and his ideas are worth following. The philosopher underlines three main forms of governing: the rule of one (mon-archy), a few (olig-archy, arist-ocracy), or many (dem-ocracy) (Robinson, 1995). To his mind, democracy was not the most effective form of governing.
In America, democracy comes from status Vivendi where the people are more superior to the government while in Russia democracy stems from the understanding that people identify with both the government and its sovereignty. In America, democracy helps the citizens constantly analyze the reaction of the government towards its people.
Democracy was thrust onto many third world countries where it failed to produce any results such as in Vietnam. The champions of democracy failed to realize that most of these nations had a deeply divided social system that relied on castes to determine the position and status of individuals in society.
Now they can leave home and be independent. These new independents may apply for a job and do what they had long wanted to do and buy what they had wanted to buy because their parents forbade them not to do or buy before.
Democracy can also be defined as the right to vote in any organization.
Whatever be the form of democracy that is adopted, the common feature is the need to make decision on certain matters that affect all members, and desire to make these decisions in such a way that every member has an opportunity to participate in the decision making
