What they most look forward to having is a perspective that asks the people to give their total attention to the subject at hand, instilling terror within the minds and hearts of the people.

The danger of terrorism in airports has arisen ever since the September 2001 attacks on the United States Twin Towers in New York and the Pentagon took place (Farrall, 2011). The terrorists have started to believe that they can fulfill their objectives by ransacking property within the airports and by making people hostage due to the element of terror that comes to their rescue. What is even more significant is the fact that they feel terrorism can turn the tide their way and make their unsuccessful attempts at propagating a message change into successful ones.

The menace at airports is not just limited to the terrorism domains alone. These have also included the peril of smuggled goods and items across the shores. This is an element that demands a great deal of attention from the people who are behind such rackets. The airports are therefore the places where the terrorists find the best spot to make sure that the people remain under the subjugation of their objectives and goals (Alvarenga, 2011). Smuggling has been much talked about in recent times and even the media has spoken about this subject in its entirety.

What this has implicated is the fact that smuggling can create bottlenecks for the government of the land, and thus could create anarchy of sorts. The role of the government under such considerations remains an important one. This is because the government needs to make sure that the people remain aware of the dangers that are present at the airports and do not commit to something which they were never known of. How governments could prevent the threats by making sure that they enact measures and ways to counter the immense threats that exist within the realms of terrorism (Freathy, 2004).

The role of technology in this day and age could be employed to the maximum possible levels which would mean that the terrorists shall not be able to make it successfully within their end objectives. They will therefore be unable to execute what they have in mind and meet failure as the technological manifestations made available at the airports would be doing their jobs in the aptest manner possible (Phillips, 2008). 

All said and done, the airports need to be made free from the menaces and perils which are existent within their realms, so that the people could heave a sigh of relief whenever they wish to acquaint a country or a city for that matter through a flight or just to drop their loved ones at the airports all around the world (O’Brien, 2010).
