China is the biggest contributor to the rise in demand for crude oil. The growth of China is bigger than what people think. I recently read an article that stated that the imports of China of US goods had gone up 468% since 2000. As the Chinese have increased their income per capita so has their desire to spend money on consumer products. The industrial activity of China and the fact that China is importing a lot of vehicles are the two primary reasons for their higher consumption of petroleum. It was interesting that the sales of the Sonata and the Electra had gone up 55%. I wonder what will be the impact in the market of the Chevy Volt which has the capability of giving upwards of 200 mpg. We are currently at virtually $4 a gallon, if the prices go up to $5 a gallon as the article implied drivers in America will continue to look for ways to reduce their driving patters. Options such as car pooling to work and using public transportation are great ways to save money on gas. Due to the trend of higher gasoline prices in the near future the Big Three have to design more cars that are capable of better mpg ratings.
The research describes features of electric cars; demonstrates reasons that make people invest in electric cars such as consumption of energy, no pollutant emission, more reliability, overnight charging, quietness of electric cars, style and features of newer models and present some negative points related to electric cars e.g. limited range, long time to recharge the battery and onboard energy storage.
Recently a shift towards alternative fuel technology such as electric hybrid cars has been observed. A critical analysis of this shift revealed that this shift in technology is not only beneficial for the customers in terms of the fuel efficiency but it is also beneficial for the economy in terms of positive net impact on employment, trade balance and environment and health.
Most significantly is the fact that the emissions causing negative effects when inhaled directly into the human systems. The emission contain chemical particles that include ozone, water, unburned hydrogen carbon, Nitrogen Dioxide , and The chemical makeup of emissions includes unburned, carbon monoxide, Water, Ozone, and Particulate Matter (United States, Office of Technology Assessment, Congress 99-101).
In the current age individuals are becoming conscious about eco-friendly products. The amount of pollution is soaring with the improving transport and communication facilities. Almost 50% individuals around the world are owners of cars.
Such cars are driven from a combination of dual fuel efficiency such as gasoline-electric or diesel-electric (Mom, 2012). Based on the conception of hybrid cars a car manufacturer present in Canada Ontario is about to come up with the idea of electric cars, which are completely electrical and not supposed to be supported by alternative fuel agents (gasoline or diesel).
However, with time, ecological balance of the environment is depleting substantially. This paper would try to focus on ‘Climate Cars’, which is a company engaging in providing eco-friendly transport services in United Kingdom (U.K.). The report would perfectly analyze the market for eco-friendly transportation in U.K.
Similar to traditional cars, the hybrid car also has a gasoline engine. However, the difference is in size. On a hybrid car, the gasoline engine is smaller and is used as advanced technology to increase efficiency by reducing emissions.
It is the energy storage device for the gasoline engine.
Key point 1 - You need to drive an electric vehicle because it will save you money over the long term because you won't be purchasing gasoline or spending money to maintain an internal combustion engine.
Supporting material - I will discuss (or use a graph to demonstrate) the rising prices of gasoline in various countries of the world; and maybe a table that shows the average family's monthly fuel expense.
gh many alternatives to traditional gasoline cars now exist, the fact of the matter is that each of the so-called “green alternatives” presents a host of drawbacks which has worked to keep them from gaining widespread popularity within the general public.
Epistemologically, the word ‘green’ is often used to refer to something that is environment friendly and eco-friendly. But from a broader perspective, in a

The news that Americans are driving less is not surprising. During the last three to six months the price of gasoline has been going up on a weekly basis. A person puts gas and by the time they put gas again a few days later the price has gone up…
