At a distance of about 1500 miles towards the west of Cape Town in South Africa, oil spill occurred in the south Atlantic that put millions of Northern Rockhopper penguins’ life in danger (“Fragile Earth” 1). In the present time, the most rare and endangered Penguin specie is the Rockhopper Penguin. The very specie ha been affected the most by this incident. It is quite likely that this incident becomes sufficient to make this specie completely extinct. Tons of diesel fuel and crude oil have soaked their furs and blocked their nostrils. A lot of penguins have died since the spill occurred. This is the most severe oil spill that has occurred in 2011 and is a potential issue of engineering ethics. The oil discharging company remained highly unethical in its practice. In this course, we have been taught that engineers should discharge the waste in ways that are environment friendly. The oil spill in the south Atlantic was totally unfriendly towards the environment. Works Cited: “Fragile Earth: Oil Spill, March 16 2011, Threatens world's most endangered species of Penguin.” 2011. The oil’s spread was expanded was winds blowing across the south shore as well as an impending cold front (Kerr 2010). Oil washed the beaches of Gulf Islands National Seashore as well as Louisiana’s coastal areas entering into Alabama and Mississippi.

The damage was so very severe that it led to radiation leakage. As the crisis was going on at this plant the engineering crews of nuclear plant had some tough ethical decisions to make. It was known that radiation was emitting from the ground at the plant.
A major reason for increase in oil prices in the last three years is the speculation in the futures market relative to the oil industry. Since mid 2005 oil marketers have been taking an entrenched position in speculating that the oil industry’s future looked dark.
Some blamed the easy accessibility of weapons while some focused on the problems of bullying and peer abuse in American High schools as the reason behind these violence. However, there were some researchers who looked beyond the obvious and pinpointed the media behind the increase in violence.
Scholars have argued that there is no “right” answer to an ethical dilemma. Therefore, what is an ethical dilemma or issue? It is a predicament without a satisfactory answer. The consequence of an ethical issue lays in the truth that very diverse ethical choices concerning the same ethical issue can be made resulting in neither decision being a right or wrong choice (Henderson, 2009).
This sluggish demand from consumers is even heightened by the high cost of operation in the retail sector.
This news exemplifies an equity risk particularly in the case of the retailers. Being unable to perform well during the holiday season, it has also been expected that the following quarter is bearish.
