Stages of Lifestyle Change There are five stages that are involved in the change of lifestyles and quitting habits (Prochaska, 1983). Precontemption: It is actually the denial phase where a person is not ready to leave his/her habit for anything as withdrawal from junk food for obese patients Contemplation: it is the phase when an individual start thinking about the change that could be better for life. Preparation: when individual start accepting and preparing for the change of dietary habits.

Factors Influencing Change in My Life: (Corbin, 2009) After the decision of making healthy changes in my lifestyle I could have been facing certain factors related to my personality and surrounding environment that can be influential at different levels of changes as goal setting and self assessment (Enabling Factors) will help me in targeting the points that should be changed and then monitoring myself by continuously checking how am I doing in bringing this change, as I always do by continuously monitoring my meals and eating habits and my weight as I don’t want any increase in my weight.

Then my this change in lifestyle is influenced by my own motivation and enjoyment (Predisposing factors) as I have my personal influences and worries regarding particular change that has to be opted and I enjoy this change by involving myself in active routines and exercises. I found that this change is also influenced by the appreciation and support by my Family and Instructors (Reinforcing Factors). As maintain the practice of tough aerobic schedules to maintain healthy change in my life couldn’t be possible without my family and health instructor’s support and motivation.

Re-inforcing Factors: are those acts that support us to maintain for lifestyle change we opted for healthy living. Out of these the foremost and appreciating factor is success and achievement in our chore and feeling of worth fullness after that change, partly supported by our peers, family and friends. The Steps of Self-Planning for a Healthy Lifestyle The key areas that can be considered as priorities for achieving a healthy life style (Melinda, 2011) and one can easily change these are: First step is to clear your mind with the definite reasons of the need for the change, as why you have to alter lifestyle Then you have to identify your needs for that particular change by knowing your strengths, weaknesses and your natural talents.

Further you have to set your goals by supervising and taking criticism of your performance After that it is important to highlight the major components of your plan as of particular diet plans and available facilities as going to gym or exercise schedules. Once you have done all these then for more self determination and strengthen yourself for best results it’s better to write your plans and make it more reliable and easy to follow. The most important step is to assess your whole activity once you opted for the change, by self-assessment that should be intervallic and will help to modify your plans for improvement.
