Introduction

According to Thomas (240), sexism, unlike the case of racism, readily lends itself to a morally unobjectionable description. I believe it is morally wrong and unacceptable in the 21st century to discriminate or view the female gender as inferior to their male counterparts. It is only a male chauvinist who would try to abuse a woman on the basis that it is right since she is female. In the present world, it is adorable to see a man who treats and takes care of a woman than a man who is rough towards ladies. Women are precious gems who need to be well taken care of and shown affection even in accordance to various holy books such as the bible and Quran. It is also in this light that women in the present world are viewed as future leaders due to their discipline and determination. Women have a large role to play in the society aside from the few roles that they were responsible for in the traditional setting. ...

Thomas Kuhn`s Pradigm theory
This is again followed by a new crisis and a new revolution, leading to a new normal science in the next cycle. In spite of their validity in explaining the history of science, Kuhn’ ideas met a lot of criticisms. Is racism and anti-semitism still a problem in the United States?
The root causes of racism and anti-Semitism are derived from the ideology of the white man’s burden that continues to be the hallmark of white supremacy. In addition, one cannot diminish the fact that America was founded upon the idea of “melting pot.” Racism and anti-Semitism are prevalent in American society due to enactment of affirmative action, ethnic profiling post September 11, and…

Racism and anti-Semitism are prevalent in American society due to enactment of affirmative action, ethnic profiling post September 11, and the vague existence of the KKK. Racism and anti-Semitism still exist in American society due to the fact that affirmative action legislatures were…
Thomas Pierce's Pragmatic Criterion
Pierce’s view in this essay is that for us to arrive at the correct and clear apprehension of an object, we must “consider what effects, which might conceivably have practical bearings, we conceive the object of our conception to have. Then, our conception of these effects is the whole of our conception of the object.” Significance of Pierce's Pragmatic Criterion Pragmatism is based on the…
Saint Thomas Aquinas
The influence of Thomas Aquinas on Western philosophy and thought is undeniable. This is demonstrated from the fact that a considerable portion of modern philosophy has been conceived either as an agreement to or a reaction to the ideas of Thomas Aquinas. This is particularly true when the areas of ethics, metaphysics, natural law and political theory in modern Western philosophy and thought are…
Sexism and the mythology of the weaker sex
In the Ebony Magazine of August 1966, Era Bell Thompson evolved out with the article where she desperately and deliberately discussed the evolution of women as a ‘weaker sex’. In her article bearing the title, “What Weaker Sex” she ogles out her despair, “MEN CALL her a member of Weaker Sex and make exaggerated allowances for her family. They also sing songs to her fair beauty. Like a…
Thomas Nagel's "Moral Luck"
This makes a person’s action and judgement as the key elements of life. According to Nagel, good will represents an inner feeling exhibited by the people in their daily interaction systems (Nagel 1). Without the good will, the wished-for end of anyone is prone to be unsuccessful. Presumably, the good will enhances a wider-range of friendly relationships and the achieving of the end drives in…
