Nursing Admission LetterNurses have a responsibility whereby they are supposed to provide holistic, polite, safe and patient-centered care to the members of the public. As a nurse, you are supposed to use of your clinical ruling to address the needs of your patients adequately (Baxter). My reason for choosing the nursing career is because I believe that the need to help people is a calling, and I feel attracted to helping those people who are in need of my skills. While I was a young child, I dreamt of becoming a nurse, because I perceived it to be an interesting career.

Being the only person who went to college in my family, I believe that taking a nursing course would help me to upgrade myself, and hence allow me to set a good example to my children. My desire to join Coppin State University as the higher education institution of choice is because it has a flexible schedule, and the professional members of staff strive to educate the diverse body of students to help them broaden their educational experience, as well as provide them with a deeper understanding of the nursing profession.

After undertaking the nursing course, my long term goals have been to develop skills that will allow me to function effectively in leadership roles, as well as address the social, political, economic, ethical, and policy issues that negatively impact on healthcare design and delivery in my community (Baxter). With respect to work experience, I have worked as a nurse since 2005 where I have delivered long-term care to sick patients at Charlotte Hall Veteran Home, Cherry Lane Nursing Center as well as a visiting nurse.

Currently I am working with Life Bridge Health Center at Levindale in Baltimore. Working with these institutions have made me to realize that making use of clinical judgments plays a crucial role in terms of helping one to address the needs of the patients effectively (Baxter). Therefore, when I get enrolled at the RN to BSN plan, I will manage to handle the demands of the academic program and nursing profession in an intellectual, innovative, participative and responsible manner.
